daily life. Recently a new awareness came into my life as a direct experience I had in Thailand. I was anxious to deliver this view to as many people as I could. Mt. Shasta was the place I did my VisionQuest with the Native American healer Flying Eagle. It is where I had my first eyes-open parallel universe experience. ( see Pine Cone ) Before traveling on the trip I wondered how I was going to explain the very important concept of multiple realities and parallel worlds and the technique of Chinese Energetic Medicine we were going to practice. I searched the Internet under topics like " Quantum Realities, Parallel worlds, and the Multiverse. After weeding through page after page of insignificant data at 3:00 am I finally came upon a conversation posted through the web site HotWired where two scientist, David Deutsch and Seth Lloyd were debating about parallel universes. In this article the two scientist were not arguing the possibility of parallel universes, to them this was already established, they were debating the mechanics and practice of the theory. They went on about how parallel universes exist right now where I am not sitting at this computer typing these words, in fact there are universes where I am not here at all. This way of looking at the world shook me. In one instant it made so much sense and gave additional meaning to certain experiences I have had with sudden alterations in space/time since my youth ex. Thailand.
The older scientist Seth Lloyd acknowledged the existence of parallel worlds but went on to say that the only one that counted in anyway to him in the creation of his world was the one he was in right now.
Seth Lloyd endorses the description given by quantum mechanics of a universe that is constantly branching into different "worlds," but insists that he and the world he inhabits are real in a way that his "twins" in parallel worlds are not. When the universe splits into decohering branches ("quantum decoherence"), the split is irrevocable, and, for all intents and purposes, the other branches and their corresponding worlds don't exist: "THE BRANCH OF THE UNIVERSE IN WHICH PIGS FLY EXISTS ONLY WHEN PIGS ACTUALLY FLY."
David Deutsch on the other hand says that the other worlds all have an effect on us "right now".
The Fabric of Reality
Our "twins" in parallel universes are just as real as we are, says The notion that our world is somehow more real is derived not from experience (since each "world" seems equally real to its inhabitants), nor from quantum mechanics (in an absolute sense there are no splits at all, and no moment when your unseen counterparts can no longer affect you - it just gets very expensive to measure the effects). I noted the Flying Pig analogy an highlighted the text and printed it out at that point. My thoughts were that this was a description that made sense in terms of health and wellness. This was a way I could explain the
